MATERIAL OF HISTORICAL INTEREST The church has in its possession a number of interesting documents including the original minutes of the meeting at which the Parish was organized, the Articles of Incorporation of the Parish, the records of the Vestry from August 1, 1842 to the present, the Journal of the Reverend Walter E. Franklin, and a list of the books in the Parish Library in 1850. Of the letters that remain, the most informative are those written by the Reverend Walter E. Franklin and Williams S. Wilson. The church also has two brief histories of the parish written in 1854 and 1894, the Bible presented in 1845 by James S. Martin, and the mallet used by the Right Reverend Alfred Lee in laying the cornerstone of the church. After the centennial the oldest documents will be deposited in the Hall of Records in Dover. The records necessary for reference will be adequately protected in a safe, the recent gift of the esteemed Senior Warden, Mr. Alfred A. Curtis.
